Name: Mark David Major, Author of Mars Rising

    About You:

I’ve been published in several different venues including academia, professional journals, poetry magazines and newspapers for more than twenty years. Most recently, my poem “Purchased Inertia” appeared in the February 2011 issue of The View From Here Magazine. My poems have also appeared in the anthologies On the Wings of Pegasus, Patterns of Life, Visions, and Whispers as well as the German e-journal, Poems Niederngasse. Several of my telepoems are available for viewing on the Official Sovereignty Channel on YouTube. I’m the playwright of The Persistence of Memory: A Play in Two Acts, which premiered in St. Louis, Missouri in 1992. I was born and raised in St. Louis and I’m a graduate of Clemson University in South Carolina and the University of London. I lived in London for eight years but I’ve resided in Florida for the last decade. Mars Rising is my first novel. My forthcoming book is The Persistence of Memory and Other Plays.

If you could change one thing in this world, what would it be? Dinosaurs would still roam the Earth though the effects on the space-time fabric would probably be disastrous.

You find a magic lamp, give it a rub and a genie offers you three wishes. What are they? I don’t want to be shallow but let’s be honest: money, women, and more women.
