4 Reasons You Should Be Excited That Lady Gaga And RedOne Are Reunited

On Thursday Night (01/25), Lady Gaga uploaded new images to Instagram of herself in the studio with Cash Money producer RedOne. Yep, the same RedOne behind the success of smashes like "Starships" and "Dance Again". Peep the list below for 4 reasons why you should be excited that these two hit-makers are back in the studio.

    1.

The last song we got from the duo ("Gypsy") ended up being the highlight of Gaga's weakest album to date, ARTPOP. "Gypsy" is a crowd-pleaser and Gaga knows it; using the song as the encore number for her 79 date "ArtRave" world tour. Considering her previous encore piece was the record breaking "Born This Way", it's clearly a favorite of little monsters everywhere. Songs like "Gypsy", "Do What You Want", and "G.U.Y." almost salvaged the album, Almost.

    2.

The music that helped launch Gaga into the mainstream music world in 2008 was the product of their earliest work together. Songs like "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" were the ones that made us all go, well, "gaga" for Gaga in the first place. The pair dominated U.S. airwaves and charts with their powerful disco sticks.

    3.

RedOne and Lady Gaga have grown as artists together. Hit smashes like "Bad Romance" and "Alejandro" showed us just how versatile of a production team they truly can be. Together, they found a perfect blend of progressive EDM with gothic chords that made for polarizing tracks and a natural sonic evolution.

    4.

The next era of Lady Gaga is on its way. Sure, little monsters were (sorta) satisfied with ARTPOP, but its time for the next round. With Cheek to Cheek, Gaga delivered on the vocals in covers of classic jazz standards with Tony Bennet. Now we've got the promise of RedOne on a (hopefully) solo Lady Gaga project (unless of course Tony is looking to update his sound).

This leaves us with tons of questions about the next era. Will RedOne be the head producer like he was for The Fame and The Fame Monster? Is there a release date already in mind for the their collaboration? Who was taking care of Asia when the picture was taken? Will the giant egg ever return? Why did Lady Gaga's dalmatians vanish in 2009? We. Need. Answers.
