The lobster, named Toby, was caught in the Pot Luck—a Maryland fishing boat—recently near Ocean City, Md.
Blue lobsters owe their color to an extremely rare pigment mutation that occurs only once in several million lobsters.
Thus, such a rare lobster isn't being sacrificed to seafood restaurants but rather headed to the National Aquarium in Washington, D.C.
