The tea in tea bags is of a lower quality to start off with. The process of crushing the leaves and turning them into a powder also reduces quality as many of the essential oils in the leaves (the bits that give tea the delicious flavour) are lost. Saddening.

Loose leaf tea lends itself to a calmer environment. Take that extra minute to take a break during your hectic day, gather your thoughts and relax. If you really are in a rush, leave it to infuse while you complete another task (the tea fairies will keep it safe for you).
