Too often flight attendants are miserable, and there are reasons to be miserable when living the airplane life, but the job is what you make it. If you want to get worked up over a rude passenger, it's only going to make your day longer. Instead, see the good within the job and days flying. You will make new friends, meet interesting people, and see beautiful destinations. Focus on that.

2. Use your benefits

The world is so much more accessible when one is a flight attendant. Take advantage of the free or discounted flights. Many flight attendants and pilots don't use their benefits. Some even have legitimate reasons why they don't, but it's really not worth it to work as cabin crew if the benefits are not taken advantage of. There are much easier and less exhausting ways to make $15,000 per year (most 1st to 2nd year FAs).

But, there are very few ways that someone who makes $15,000 per year can visit 15 new countries in one year, and rack up free or discounted flights that would have cost upwards of $35,000 total had payment been required. Use the benefits.
