Stage Collapses Before Radiohead Concert in Toronto, Killing One
One person is dead and another is in hospital with serious injuries after a stage collapsed at Downsview Park around 4 p.m. Saturday.
Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the park shortly after the stage collapsed, Emergency Medical Services said.
Another victim was taken to hospital in serious condition and two others were assessed for minor injuries.
The stage was set up for a Radiohead concert for the North by Northeast music festival Saturday night. The concert has been cancelled and ticket holders are asked not to go to the park, Downsview Park said on Twitter. Ticket holders will receive refunds, ticket company Live Nation said.
