10 Last-Minute Yet Thoughtful Acts Of Love For Mother's Day

Mother's Day is going to be here as fast as your mom can figure out that you're up to something. If you're riding that last-minute struggle bus, here's a list of 10 simple yet thoughtful acts of love that will mean the world to that awesome goddess.

1. Make A Video Slide Show

Collect whatever new and old photos/videos you have and upload them to a standard computer application such as iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, etc. Set the background music to her favorite song or a song about mothers. This is something she can watch whenever she likes, and it lasts longer than chocolate or flowers. But it might bring on the waterworks, so make sure she has a tissue or five.

Give her a call, text, e-mail, or note every hour on the hour (that she's awake of course) to thank her for something that she's done for you. Moms should feel appreciated, so stalking her for a day to let her know she's the shit is obviously the way to go.

5. Write a Letter

That's correct. WRITE a letter. Don't text it. Don't type it up. Sit your ass down, grab a pen, and use that cursive style of handwriting that you probably haven't used since your SAT. Write a memory, thank you, or something you love about her on multiple note cards. Once you've made them, place the cards in places you know she will eventually find them. Her purse, the fridge, her car, in a utility drawer, etc. are some good places to start. You can also hide a few in less obvious places so that she'll come across them in the future. 8. Jar of Small Things

This one may take a bit more time, but it will be completely worth it. Cut pieces of paper into small rectangles and write a small thing that she has done for you that made a big difference. You can choose to wrap it up in chocolate like the photo if you'd like. Put them in a jar and label it with something like "Small Things from a Big Heart." Or something better than that. 9. Recreate an Old Memory

Think of a game, place, or activity from your childhood and bring it back to life. For example, maybe there's a park your mom, grandmother, adopted mother, whoever you're celebrating would take you as a kid.
