5SOS Showcased A New Logo And The Internet Reacted Accordingly

How did we end up here?

So a few days ago 5sos brought out a new a logo. The story behind this shocking change is that clothing company "Undefeated" are suing 5sos because their logo also is a tally.

Sooo similar...

many fans online have noted that these look nothing alike and that many logos include a tally, they didn't think of it first.

this looks wayyyyy more similar

Fans have said that this looks more similar than the 5sos tally, so why aren't they being sued?

Ash even has it tattooed on his wrist, because he was the one who made the logo in the first place.

Yes. This is the new logo. Now you can understand why the fam is going loco. Gone is the tally that is written on the notebooks and shirts of many fans across the globe.

This is what it says on Tom Gordan's website. It also has the designs and tour posters. (link below)

"In July 2014 I was asked to submit a handful of designs to a merchandise pitch for 5 Seconds of Summer based on some work of mine that the bands management had seen. What was originally supposed to be a small project turned into a fairly substantial project when the band responded so positively to the designs. The skull logo that they now use in their key branding was a quick doodle that I made at the time for a lanyard design!"

How did we not see the signs?

This skull merch was released well before 5sos dropped the bombshell on us.

Even if we never get our tally back. It will forever be in our hearts. RIP.
