The iconic moment happened during a scene in Die Another Day, the 20th installment in the James Bond series, where Halle played NSA agent Jinx Johnson, aka the Bond girl.
However, Halle recently revealed things didn't always go according to plan while filming.
During an interview with Jimmy Fallon this week, the actor recalled choking on a fig during her love scene with Pierce Brosnan, who played James Bond for 10 years before Daniel Craig took over in 2004.
"One time, I was doing a scene with Pierce Brosnan in Die Another Day [and] I am supposed to be trying to be all sexy and trying to seduce him with a fig — and then I end up choking on it," she said. "And he had to get up and do the Heimlich [maneuver]."
"So not sexy, so not sexy," she joked.
"He was there for me, and he will always be one of my favorite people in the whole world," Halle added.
So now we know we have Pierce to thank for saving Halle's life and being a hero onscreen and IRL.
