In Case You Missed It, Literally Everyone Got Married This Weekend

Chances are, you or someone you know went to a wedding over Memorial Day weekend.

Look, everyone knows that spring and summer are the most popular times of the year to get married.

Nice weather and an abundance of long weekends are just two reasons why.

I have zero statistical proof for this hypothesis, but I do have several undeniable pieces of evidence and an insatiable desire to be right (who doesn't?), so allow me to explain.

Like, if my friend/long-lost acquaintance/family member/former dog walker wasn't the one getting married, they were most certainly a guest at a wedding.

And, naturally, the wedding photos came with an onslaught of hashtags, which are the actual best thing to happen to modern-day weddings. Not only is it highly entertaining to see how people figured out how to mash their names and/or wedding date and/or place they met into one, it's the perfect way to do a thorough stalk. Long live the hashtag, I say!

Now, as an insecure millennial who can only be sure of my convictions if the internet affirms them, I turned to Twitter to see if anyone else had any thoughts on this matter. Turns out, I am not alone!

  1. Blah blah blah, I know it all makes sense, holiday weekends are nothing new, I get it. But this weekend really took the cake. Do you agree?

Yup, I got married/went to a wedding/literally could not escape everyone's wedding photos this weekend.
Hi, welcome to adulthood, this is nothing new.
Nah, I didn't notice anything unusual.
You got paid to write this unscientific study in which you called yourself an insecure millennial who always needs to be right? GTFO.
