Black women beauty routines are not exclusively for black women. I’m black and I still went out and bought myself the Urban Decay Naked Palette, which is universally loved. Eye shadows can be used for basically anyone. The only thing that matters is a persons personal taste. If a black girl was doing a review on Black eyeliner, would you not watch it because she has a different skin tone? If the same black girl did a review on a NARS foundation, what would it matter if its not your exact skin tone. Black people have the same different types of skin like oily, dry, normal, and combination. People look at these Youtube reviews to see how well that foundation will work. Will it last throughout day? Will it cling to dry patches? As a black girl myself I’ve watched hundreds of reviews of white people testing products. Because sure that shade of concealer that person is using may not be my shade but it still will probably crease just as bad on me as it did her. I’ve seen many white beauty gurus try to imitate beauty looks seen on Beyonce and Rihanna and do it successfully because that shade of your skin doesn’t always matter. You can still learn new techniques even if she’s black and your white.
