Yikes. As someone who was sober for almost 4 years before making the choice to drink again, this hit really close to home. My experience was that once I started drinking again, things seemed fine at first. Eventually, though, my drinking returned its bacchanalian heights. I hope that you have a different experience than I did, but the general direction of the article suggests otherwise. The bright spot in the article, for me, was that you realize that your reasons for sobriety weren’t strong enough before.
