We'll start off easy:  
What is always in front of you, but yet you cannot see it?  


A candle's fire is quick when the candle is thin, but slow when fat, and of course it's not invulnerable to wind. Unless you have those candles where you can't blow it out...

You measure my life in hours and I serve you by expiring. I’m quick when I’m thin and slow when I’m fat. The wind is my enemy. What am I?  


There are usually pictures of cities, mountains and rivers in a map, right?

We're getting harder:  
I have cities, but no houses. I have mountains, but no trees. I have water, but no fish. What am I?  


He is for a male, her is for a female, hero means the great, and heroine means a great woman!

What word in the English language does the following: the first two letters signify a male, the first three letters signify a female, the first four letters signify the great, while the entire word signifies a great woman. What is the word?  


It's the DICTIONARY, as the letter T comes before Y.

It's best to dip your paintbrush in water before you paint, right? Unless you want a really dry painting...

It's called "living" room, and since ghosts are spirits of the dead, they won't haunt it. Sorry not sorry, I'm lame!

And lastly, a SLIGHTLY easier question to end on:  
There is one room in the house ghosts will not haunt. What room is it?

These questions were hard, so I don't blame you! Though you're not good at riddles, you may be good at something else — acting, singing, languages and more! Don't be too sad!
