Vogue Magazines’ fashion editor Anna Wintour is one person you don’t want to cross. Rihanna faced the wrath of the magazine editor after keeping her waiting for 40 minutes at the star studded MET GALA 2012 while see was getting her nails painted.
They say, Rihanna spent two hours in her Manhattan hotel suite having her two-inch talons buffed and preened as guests, including Beyonce, Kanye West, Kristen Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow dutifully swanned up the red carpet. Ms. Wintour, 62, made her grand entrance and, assuming everyone had arrived, as she was closing the red carpet arrival entrance, she was informed Rihanna was a no-show.
Daily Mirror is reporting that:“Rihanna planned to walk the carpet with everyone else but, sadly, her nails and manicurist took far longer than expected.
“Her chauffeur was told to drive around the block several times, as she made last-minute changes, but her ‘people’ didn’t warn organizers she’d be late.
“She missed her slot on the red carpet and left Anna in a frenzy. The pair had a heated conversation during the champagne reception.
“Rihanna will not be invited to any of her future events any time soon.”
Ms Wintour who inspired Meryl Streep’s character in the film – blamed her “claw-like” nails for the hold-up.
But she still found time to Tweet a photo of herself getting ready. The beauty about this situation, Rihanna could probably care less…but she better care because certain people you need to keep on your team.
