When You're Still Unemployed A Year After Graduating

Unemployment: a side-effect of education. Thanks university, that degree was super useful.

    At first life was great...

You spent your days as you dreamed you would after graduating...

But when you get your 5 billionth job rejection, your soul slowly starts to die.

A few months in everything starts to lose meaning, like dressing well, or having manners.

People just don’t understand your troubles.

You just want to mould into your bed.

You find new ways to procrastinate procrastinating.

You realise mermaids don’t need jobs. Why should I have to have one?

You get sidetracked and dream of being a mermaid...

All of your employed friends constantly feel sorry for you.

But they do know how to cheer you up.

You can't quite deal with the next year's cohort graduating.

You revert to being a 5 year old and desperately cling to your parents for love and affection.

You start to consider just living at home for the rest of your life.

Instead you focus on your new found hobbies...

and try to see the positives - at least you don't have a job.
