There are tons of ways to make this classic comfort food whether by skillet, deep fried, baked or the original stovetop it can definitely be categorized as a crowd pleaser. Best part is- we don't just stop at cheesy pasta. Mac and cheese can be paired up with other crowd favorites to take it one step further. Add some shredded chicken or layers of chili or sausage to make a mini meal out of it. Remember when hot dogs and mac and cheese were the ultimate combo on the kids menus? Well we've gotten gourmet and added items such as slow roasted brisket and lobster, even using it as a topping for a burger (pause for effect). Another major key for having good mac and cheese is to make sure texture is involved. Research shows that cornflakes may be the hail mary to an awesome mac and cheese experience. Combining corn flakes with panko bread crumbs on top of your dish before you bake it off for a couple minutes will add a nice crispy component to the cheesy gooey delciousness that is the macaroni and cheese.
