The 5 Crazy Things We Learned As New Parents During Christmas Time

We have a 3 month old and we love the holidays…

1. Waaaa….Ooh Shiny!

Babies love lights. It is better than a pacifier, a bird or a plane. When baby is bored-the tree full of lights brings him holiday zen.

2. Wear it well...

Don't save the holiday outfits until the big day. Once December hits-it is fair game to put your baby in a candy cane onesie or santa hat…well-everday.

3. Who can frown at those toes? Baby = cheer

People are kinder to you when they see your baby. When I encounter an annoyed cashier or anyone who I have to interact with that seems impatient. I grab my phone and show them my baby-they instantly become warm and fuzzy.

4. No list? No problem.

We really want our baby to grow up to enjoy every part of Christmas-not just gifts. So…this is the ideal time to embrace this. He has no list. No expectations and we are still adjusting to the cost of diapers, etc. etc. We plan on buying a few things and wrapping some of the unopened/untouched items from the shower. What he knows won't hurt him or our wallet. :)

5. Best gift ever?

Better than Barbies, Transformers and even diamonds…our little boy is the best bundle that we could wish for!
