Kylie Opens Up About Why She Lied About Her Lip Injections And More In New Interview

She and Tyga did break up earlier this year, but not because of Blac Chyna.

Complex released their special ComplexCon issue starring Kylie Jenner today and the only thing juicer than the photos is the interview itself.

Here are some things we learned:

1. Her lip insecurity stems from a comment a boy made after she kissed him back in middle school.

"This guy I kissed was like, ‘Your lips are really small but you’re a really good kisser. I didn’t think you were gonna be good at kissing.' It was so rude. From then on, I just felt like I saw guys staring at my lips. I felt like no one wanted to kiss me,” she said.

2. She lied about her lip injections initially because she didn't want to be a bad influence.

"I didn’t want to be a bad influence. I didn’t want people to think you had to get your lips done to feel good about yourself. But they thought it was crazier that I was lying about it because it was so obvious. I wish I had just been honest and upfront," she said.

3. She admits she went too far with the lip injections in the beginning, but still maintains that she's never gone under the knife.

"When you first get them done, you’re like, ‘Oh, it could be a little bit bigger on that side.’ Then I’d go back and be like, ‘They went down’ and think they could be bigger. But I went too far. It was very painful," she told the magazine.

4. People close to both Kylie and Tyga advised them not to date.

“The first year we started hanging out, everyone around him told him not to be with me. I still get comments like, ‘Don’t be with him.’ But we’re not doing it for the public — we love each other. We need to be together at all times. We never get mad at each other, we just figure things out," she said.

5. As the media suspected, she and Tyga did take a monthlong break last May, but not because of infidelity.

“I just needed to see what it was like not being with him," she said. But in the end the two realized it's not what they wanted.

6. She and PartyNextDoor never "dated," Kylie said, describing their time together as "just fun."

According to Complex, Kylie paused when asked if they ever dated and then said, “He asked me to be in the ‘Come and See Me’ video, and that was after Tyga... Me and Party have a cool relationship. I think he’s so talented and I love his music. But I wouldn’t say we dated. It never really got to that boyfriend-girlfriend stage. It was just fun. I was doing what I wanted to do.”

7. There really is no beef between her and Blac Chyna.

Karizza Sanchez, the author of the cover story, said that Kylie texted Chyna to check on her pregnancy the day the two met for the interview. Sanchez also said in the story that Chyna called Kylie the week before and the pair spoke for an hour. “I never fought with her over social media in the beginning, but I understand where she was coming from and what place she was in,” Kylie said in the piece. “We’re totally fine. It’s all love.”

8. Kylie will always do whatever she wants, according to sister Khloé.

Khloé recalled Kylie's goth phase during the sixth grade — apparently the whole family hated it. "But she just did not care,” said Khloé. “Most 12-year-olds would probably cry and change. She was like, ‘No! I’ll stop when I’m ready.’ Nothing can sway Kylie. She’ll do what she wants to do no matter what.”

9. Keek was her first experience with cyberbullying.

“My Keek days were wild. I showed everyone my funny and crazy side. That’s when people started making fun of me,” she said. “When people bully you about what you want to do, or for being silly and funny, it makes you not want to be silly and funny anymore. I started to lose a lot of myself, pieces about myself that I liked the most.” (Keek is a social networking service that allowed users to share short video updates.)

10. #KylieJennerChallenge (and the backlash that came from it) was an especially hard time for her — she would have anxiety attacks that made her break down in public, she said.

“I used to have a lot of anxiety. I never went out. If I tried to go to the movies or something, I would stop breathing in the middle and just cry. I’m surprised there aren’t videos of me out there. I felt super trapped, like everybody was watching me. I felt like everyone was hating on me," she said.

11. The hardest part of fame is experiencing it while she's still not sure who she is.

"I didn’t know who I was a year ago, and I still don’t know exactly who I am now. You’re trying to grow up and make mistakes and everybody’s watching," she said.

12. She wants Kylie Cosmetics to be so big it lands her "on Forbes."

According to Complex, Kylie seeing her mom and sisters become successful entrepreneurs inspired her to do the same. “My mom has been a huge influence on me; Kim has done amazing things. I look up to all of them," she said.

13. If she knew everything she knows now, she's not sure she'd agree to be apart of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

“If someone told me how big it was going to be, I probably would’ve had a second thought about it,” she said. “I don’t want to be ‘Kylie Jenner.’ It’s become a job more than who I am. I don’t even want to be that person anymore.”
