"Hidden Figures" Isn't Even Out Yet And It's Already Giving Everyone Goosebumps

There's a dose of black girl magic in every frame.

The first official trailer for Hidden Figures starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae is out and it's already got me looking for some awards to throw their way.

Here are some of the best moments from the three-minute trailer:

    1. When it starts off with this brilliant black girl giving all the characters in A Beautiful Mind a run for their money.

    2. When the police man who stopped them couldn't believe three black women worked at NASA.

    3. When someone mistook Katherine (Taraji P. Henson) for the cleaning lady.

    4. When Mary (Janelle Monae) and Dorothy (Octavia Spencer) were A+ wing women for Katherine.

    5. When Katherine gave Jim (Mahershala Ali) this face when he acted surprised that women held positions like hers in NASA.

    6. When Mary said "We go from being our father's daughters..."

    7. "...to our husband's wives..."

    8. "...to our baby's mothers." Basically implying the lack of a opportunity for women to be their own person back in the day.

    9. When Katherine's adorable daughters popped up on the screen.

    10. Every time Mary, Katherine, and Dorothy gave these "we know we're being underestimated but we're gonna slay anyway" faces.

    11. When Mary was all about "equal opportunity flirting" when she met this fine astronaut.

    12. When Mary dropped this gem: "Every time we have a chance to get ahead, they move the finish line."

    13. This moment of sisterhood.

    14. When these proud brown faces watched their mamas, aunties, daughters, and wives be a part of history.

    15. When you realized they were still dealing with this BS at the same damn time.

    16. When we discovered that this is the army of black women Olivia Pope needs to thank for pioneering the power walk.

    17. And when Mary (who continues to make excellent points) said if she was a white man she wouldn't have to want to be an engineer, she'd already be one.

Absolutely cannot stand how long we have to wait for this film, in theaters January 2017. Watch the full trailer here:
