HBCU Homecoming Do's And Don'ts

For a lot of HBCU alumni homecoming is the most wonderful time of the year. In an effort to document the culture of HBCU homecomings (more specifically North Carolina A&T State University's homecoming, fondly known as GHOE - Greatest Homecoming On Earth) Benjamin Robinson and Darren Brand started making videos for social media to depict some some hard and fast (and funny) rules that all who attend annually should follow.

1. Do: Use a GPS

2. Don't: Pretend like you're an alum if you aren't.

3. Do: Have your party tickets.

4. Don't: Call your friend at work talking crazy about homecoming.

5. Do: Line up your guarantee.

6. Don't: Front on Instagram and Snapchat

7. Do: Pace yourself.

8. Do: Know the words.

9. Don't: Dap the same person up over and over.

10. Do: Think twice before bringing bae.

11. Don't: Be THAT neo.

12. Do: Give back

13. Don't: Trust bae when he/she tells you they'll behave.

14. Don't: Fall into the past.

15. Do: Expect this to happen.

16. Do: Have a durable hairstyle.

17. Don't: Tap out.

18. Don't: Expect to have cell phone service on campus.

19. Do: Have your "sick day" call script ready.
