Everybody has advice that they live by: They swear by it, pin calligraphy of it onto their Pinterest boards — some will even tattoo it on them as a constant reminder.
But have you ever heard life advice that you adamantly disagree with?
Like maybe one of your friends always says, "Don't change for anybody." But what about the importance of compromise in healthy relationships?
Or the old, "Things will get better if you persevere," when in reality, sometimes you have to leave a toxic situation for things to get better?
Or how about, "Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life," but when you tried making your passion profitable, you lost all joy in doing it?
