1. The Long Awaited Response
We all have trouble keeping up with technology nowadays, but for people who are not interested in you they seem to forget for hours or sometimes even days. The disinterested individual is someone who doesn't realize that their activity on mobile social media is an indicator of their phone usage, and their indifference toward texting you back.
2. The Distance Between Us
So you're friends, but nothing more? You find yourself hanging out with mutual friends but want to strike up a conversation? You can often find the "likers" wanting to sit near the "liked," but the "liked" often note this proximity and try to habitate a space nowhere near them.
3. World's Busiest
"Want to hang out sometime?"-Me
"I'm reeeeeeally busy actually...like all this week"-Them
"How about next week?"- Me
"Yeah, i'm pretty much busy all summer"
(I see you Snapchatting Orange is the New Black all day smh)
4. PDD- Public Display of Disinterest
They casually hook up with a stranger? In front of you? Yeah probably move on.
5. Let's be (superficial) friends
Friends hit up friends, right? In this case, wrong. They say they want to be friends but treat you like more like an acquaintance than anything else.
6. The Change of Heart
You confessed you're love for them but they weren't about it? Do they feel bad for shooting you down and wan't to make it up to you?
"Let's hang out sometime soon though!"-Them
Hint: They will never call you to hang out, don't wait on them.
7. The One-on-One Hangout
You've somehow gotten a hangout with them, even against the odds? Well, don't expect it all to go well. The hangout will be ridiculously awkward and they will never reach out to you again in the future.
8. The "Group"
Probably the most important indicator of the friend zone. You aren't treated as a friend, but are referred to in relation to others. Also, they will do anything to get others in on hangouts as they feel uncomfortable.
"Wan't to do something later?"-Me
"Who else is coming with?"-Them
