18 Indian Actresses Who Are Also Successful Entrepreneurs And Investors

The judges of Shark Tank India have some serious competition.

In 2019, Katrina Kaif turned into an entrepreneur by launching her makeup brand, Kay Beauty, which is a joint collaboration between her and the beauty retail giant Nykaa, which she has also successfully invested in. The brand also has an offline presence in general trade stores and retail companies such as Lifestyle. An investor in the luxury handbag brand, Behno, the actress now plans to make her mark in the health and wellness space.

2. Alia Bhatt

Alia has been an investor in the fashion startup StyleCracker, in the biomaterials startup Phool.co, and in Nykaa, from which she gained 10x returns upon its debut in the Indian stock market. In addition to these, she is the founder of Ed-a-Mamma, a sustainable clothing brand for kids, which is now to be acquired by Reliance. She also owns a production house called Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Deepika has invested in companies like Furlenco, a furniture rental platform, Purplle, a beauty marketplace, Supertails, a pet care platform, Bellatrix Aerospace, a space-tech startup, BluSmart, a ride-sharing company, FrontRow, a learning platform, the luggage brand Mokobara, the period care brand Nua, and in Drum Foods International Pvt. Ltd., the parent company of Epigamia. The actress started her entrepreneurial journey with the self-care brand 82°E as a co-founder.

Not many know this but she also co-owns Mumbai's uber-popular restaurant Bastian.
