You love expressing yourself through poetry, painting, drawing, and more. Going to art shows and putting on open mic nights are definitely your thing, so go to Arts meetings on Tuesdays at 6:30pm in SU 307 in the Student Activities Conference Room! This committee plans events that expand students' views of the arts through Coffee Houses, Rap Battles, Open Mic Night, and more.

Arts Committee

You probably got your graduating class' Class Clown superlative, didn't you? You're always cracking jokes or trying to show your friends videos of your favorite comedian. Come to Comedy committee's meetings at 5pm on Thursdays in SU 312 to help bring various comedians to campus like Seth Meyers, Kevin Hart, and Aziz Ansari.

Comedy Committee

Music is your life. From stalking your favorite artists on social media to trying to convince all of your friends to help you win concert tickets to your favorite artist's next concert. Come to SU 104 at 5pm on Tuesdays to help the committee plan and set up for major artists such as Schoolboy Q, Steve Aoki, Kendrick Lamar, and Wiz Khalifa.

Concert Committee

When people need to know who starred in this movie, or who directed that movie, they always go to you. At the beginning of every year, you can always be found with snacks on your couch watching the Oscars, SAG Awards, and BAFTAs being awarded to this year's "it" people in Hollywood. Come to the Student Activities Conference Room in SU 307 from 6-6:30pm on Thursdays to help the committee choose the movies that will be shown in the SU Theatre and plan other film-related activities, such as the Student Film Festival.

Films Committee

You love to watch videos on Vimeo of people giving talks about issues surrounding social justice, education, and current events. You spend your time reading up on issues from different sides to fully educate yourself before you make a decision. Come to Lecture committee meetings on Thursdays from 6-7pm in SU 318 to help bring fun and informative speakers to UConn such as Misty May-Treanor, Gloria Steinem, Maya Angelou, Michael J. Fox, and Coach Carter.

Lecture Committee

Whenever Homecoming season rolls around or a birthday needs to be planned, people always know they can count on you to plan these huge events. Come to the Student Activities Conference Room in SU 307 on Wednesdays from 6-6:30pm to help the committee organize some of UConn's most valued traditions such as Homecoming and Winter Weekend.

Major Weekends Committee

You've got a creative and organized mind with a future-oriented disposition that would make you a perfect Outreach committee member. Come to SU 307 on Mondays at 5:30 pm to show off your innovative marketing skills by advertising on behalf of SUBOG. You would also brainstorm how to get SUBOG's name across campus, market events, and help increase SUBOG membership by getting students excited about SUBOG.

Outreach Committee

Whether it's going to the Big E or visiting the city, you love doing big things. Come to Special Events committee meetings from 6-6:30pm on Mondays in SU 221 to help coordinate various creative and fun events on campus such as the Homecoming Carnival, Electric Yoga, Stuff-a-Husky, and the Drag Show.

Special Events Committee

You know every single player that ever played on your favorite sports team, and you don't mind spending hours on your different fantasy leagues. Come to the Student Activities Conference Room in SU 307 on Wednesdays from 5-5:30pm to help organize trips and buses to sporting events like UConn football and basketball games, other New England sporting venues, and help organize sports tournaments on campus.
