Squamish, BC, Canada. (Population: 17,158) This community is located in British Columbia, Canada. It's famous for the Squamish Valley Music Festival, which has hosted artists such as Eminem, Bruno Mars, Macklemore and Arcade Fire. Oh, and there might even be mountains! (Please, for your own safety, no horseplay on the mountains.)

8. Geelong, Australia

Geelong, Australia. (Popultion: 184,182) Cool Aussie accents aside, the National Wool Museum is housed here and was built in 1872. Who doesn't love wool!? Think of all the sweaters you could make! (Ok, there are things here even cooler than sweaters!) (Like Kanga-danga-roos!)

7. St. Gallen, Switzerland

St. Gallen, Switzerland. (Population: 75,310) We hate to exacerbate stereotypes but you can visit St.Gallen and take a tour of a chocolate factory called SchoggiLand! And while sadly, SchoggiLand is closing, it will be replaced with the bigger and better Maestrani’s Chocolarium! (We swear this is true... look it up!)

Durham, England. (Population: 48,069) The stunning Durham Castle was built in the 11th century and still functions today as a university. While you can't just waltz right in, guided tours are available to the public if you book ahead. No running in the halls!

5. Trona Pinnacles, California, USA

Trona Pinnacles, California, USA. (Population: 0) Nobody technically lives here as it's a natural monument in the California Desert accessible only via a dirt road. You might recognize the pinnacles as they've been featured in several big movies and tv shows including Star Trek and Planet of The Apes. (May need to bring your own snacks!)

Kassel, Germany (Population: 194,747) Home of alternative/folk/pop/rock duo 'Milky Chance,' it's worth the trip alone to check out the stunning Hercules monument which was built in the early 1700s. (Milky Chance by the way was built in 2012.)

Paris, France. (Population: 2,240,621) This trendy city is a popular destination for tourists and we love it partly because it features 1,784 bakeries. If you went to a different bakery every day, it would take you almost 5 years to visit them all! Challenge accepted.

According to Restaurant magazine, New York is home to nine of the top 100 restaurants in the world. And move over Sao Paulo, many culinary experts consider New York to have the best pizza in the world! We love NY! Also, cronuts were invented here. Give us cronuts, bruh!
