Prince Phillip has just made the killing blow. The sound of your heart beating faster and faster is like the roar of thunderous applause rising in your chest. You try to sit up, but you can’t. You’re just so tired. You feel something wet on your skin, so you look down and see the sword wound gushing right below the third rib on your right. You cry out and look around. Everything is peaceful around you. The sun shines from above, illuminating your wound as if God itself wanted you to see it. A sudden peace falls over you as that tired feeling starts to drag at your consciousness. You remember complaining about how hot the summers are, but now it all just feels so cold.

Prince Phillip

Peter swoops down and plunges a knife deep into your chest. You can feel a certain heat coming off of a bright light hovering by his shoulder... It's Tinker Bell, and she's simultaneously the most beautiful and horrifying thing you've ever seen in your entire life. Peter and Tink start to fade away as your vision is consumed by a bright light. Is this heaven? No, you don't think it is.

Peter Pan

You sit alone in a cell. Your only stimulation is the constant drip of water off of the ceiling of your stone cell. In the middle of wondering where the water is coming from, you hear the metal groaning of the cell door opening. You turn your head to meet the gaze of your soon-to-be executioner, Prince Charming. Two guards come in and force a black hood over your face, but you catch one final glance of a smirk across Charming's face. "Where is Cinderella?" he asks. But you'll never tell. This secret will die with you. Any moment now.

Prince Charming

You heard the rumors around town about the prince that lives in the castle just beyond the marsh. You passed them off as the tall tales of children. You should have listened. But you didn't, did you? So, you went out to explore the land around the castle, and now here you are – the last sunrise you'll ever see is ascending. The air is filled with the smell of wet, matted fur. The Beast looms above you, his fangs glistening with your blood. The last thing you hear is a brutish roar that sounds like no animal of this earth.

The Beast

You and the Prince Eric lock eyes just as the sky begins to darken with the promise of a storm. He tosses you a sword and yells, “Pick it up. It's the only honorable way.” You take the sword into your hand, and that's when you realize your mistake. The sword has been enchanted by a sea witch, and your legs slowly and painfully begin to join together. The bones in your leg crunch, and your skin molts into scales. "I'm sorry. This was the only way I could get her back," Eric says as he uses his boot to push you down into the ocean – your new home. You look up at the surface. All that is behind you now – the people you loved, your favorite foods, humanity. You're not dead, but in a strange way, Eric has killed who you were just the same.
