Here's Why People Think Beyoncé Is Shading Kim Kardashian With Her New Song

"I break the internet, top two and I ain't number two."

Beyoncé. Perhaps you've heard of her.

Queen B is featured alongside Jay-Z and Future on DJ Khaled's new track, "Top Off." And in her verse, people think she's throwing some not-so-subtle shade at her alleged frenemy, Kim Kardashian.

"I break the internet, top two and I ain't number two," she raps. "My body, my ice, my cash, all real, I'm a triple threat."

Okay, so let's break this down. First: Beyoncé claiming she breaks the internet.

This is ~possibly~ a reference to Kim Kardashian's famous "Break The Internet" covers for Paper magazine. Surely you remember:

Then there's the whole "top two and I ain't number two" thing. That's actually a reference to Drake's song, "Gyalchester" — but in context, it sure sounds like she's calling Kim "number two."

And finally, there's this line: "My body, my ice, my cash, all real, I'm a triple threat." Kim's haters often call her "fake" and "talentless," so it sure is ~interesting~ that Bey chose to call herself "all real" and a "triple threat"...right after saying she breaks the internet.

For those who don't know, Beyoncé and Kim's relationship has been strained over the past few years, and tensions came to a head in 2016 when Kanye claimed at a concert that Bey had refused to perform at the VMAs unless she was guaranteed to win Video of the Year.

Now, whether or not Bey intended to throw shade with these lines in "Top Off," people sure are reading into it.

So Beyoncé DEFINITELY threw bars at Kim Kardashian 😂😂😂 #TopOff

Beyonce put Kim K to bed with that Drake bar. "I break the internet, top two and I ain't number two"

Y’all know Beyoncé dissed Kim Kardashian 😂😂

Some people were here for it.

Listening to #TopOff knowing Beyoncé is shading Kim K like

While others thought it was petty AF.

So I’m listening to this song and I’m just wondering why did Beyoncé take a jab at Kim K? I’m not a Kim K fan 🙄 but stooping to her level? Smh I don’t like it at allll idc @ me 🙅🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

And others just want receipts for that whole "top two" claim.

beyonce really tried to shade kim/kylie...”i break the internet, top 2 and i ain’t number 2”...well if we bring the stats in

Let's all just pray for peace.
