Twitter Is Fighting Over The Correct Way To Pronounce "Caramel" And Y'all, Everyone Is Wrong

    Is it care-a-mel, or car-mull?

Okay, people. You might have heard this age-old debate before: How do you pronounce "caramel"?

Do you pronounce it CARE-A-MEL or CAR-MULL?

Well, thanks in part to Twitter user Janece Harrington, the question that has plagued elementary schools for ages is now going viral on Twitter.

How do you pronounce caramel? Rt if you say: (care-a-mel) Like if you say: (car-mull)

It turns out people feel rather strongly about this.

How do people say carmel ??! It is carAmel for A reason

Team Care-A-Mel has come out in full force to defend their stance:

i don't trust people who pronounce carAmel "carmel" like you really just gonna pretend there isn't an 'a'? really??

good morning to everyone except people who pronounce ‘caramel’ as ‘carmel’

But Team Car-Mull is not backing down either.

if u pronounce caramel as “carmel” i can keep u in my life, but if u say “carAmel” don’t ever talk to me again

caramel is pretty hard to spell bc i pronounce it “car•mall”

But other folks — self included — choose to vote third party in this matter.

@janece118 Do people not realize that BOTH are accurate and BOTH are two different things?! Lmaoo

Because in MY experience, car-mull and care-a-mel are two totally different foods!

@deana_robb @janece118 Caramel is the sauce Karmels are candies You’re now ready to rule the world

So, whose side are you on in this ~sticky~ situation? Is it car-mull, care-a-mel, or somewhere in between? Let me know in the comments!
