1. Take the ACT or SAT test

While the ACT may make you want to scream, it is an important requirement for applying to college. If you aren't happy with your score, you can study and retake it.

2. Apply to College

No, I'm not kidding. Make sure that you apply to the colleges on your list before the application deadline.

3. Look for Scholarships

Scholarships are actually free money. Try to apply to as many scholarships as possible because college can be expensive.

4. Stay involved

Are you on the dance team? Do you run track? How about the language club? Keep attending your high school activities, and spend time with your friends. High school will end soon, so create great, lasting memories while you are there.

5. Maintain your GPA

Try to avoid senioritis! You've worked hard for 3.5 years; don't let your hard work go to waste. Also, colleges may check your final GPA since they will request a copy of your final transcript.
