A Day In Tel Aviv With Terrorist Rockets

Tel Aviv residents, like millions of other Israelis, were woken up by air raid sirens as Hamas continued to shoot rockets at civilians.

Here's a little glimpse of what residents of Tel Aviv, Israel's second-biggest city and its economic center, experienced Thursday morning.

Hamas sent a rocket toward the city before 8 a.m.

Thousands of people were on highways in and around Tel Aviv commuting to work and had to stop their cars or get off the bus and duck at the side of the road.

Once they were semi-conscious, they realized it was an air raid siren and ran to the nearest shelter.

Many of the buildings in Tel Aviv are old and don't have their own bomb shelters and residents had to hedge their bets – should they run to the nearest inner staircase, or just duck and cover?

No one in Tel Aviv was safe from Hamas' deadly rockets. Men, women, children, Israelis, tourists and even foreign diplomats.

Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system stopped the rockets – an estimated four altogether – in the air.

Tel Avivians are strong. They won't give in to terrorism, so they went back to their work and beloved coffee shops and the beach.

But they had to go through this all over again three hours later.

Meanwhile, in Israel's south, residents have been experiencing this for years.
