These Are The Cities With The Rarest Pokémon In The U.S.

In order to catch 'em all, you should know where to look!

By now, everyone who's obsessed with Pokémon Go has gone up and down every city in their town trying to catch the elusive Pokémon. Depending on where you live, however, you might not be able to fill up that Pokédex of yours that easily. In fact, you might need to venture out and go on an adventure around the country if you really want to catch 'em all.

Lucky for all of us, ground travel search site Wanderu took the time to find out exactly where all of the rarest Pokémon hang out around the U.S. By reviewing photos and videos posted on Twitter from over 250 cities around the country, Wanderu uncovered the top cities where you can find epic, mythical and special Pokémon, a.k.a. the rarest and most elusive ones out there!

Here are the cities you should travel to if you want to get your hands on those hard-to-find creatures:

As you can see, the West Coast certainly has the upper hand when it comes to catching the rarest Pokémon. If you want to become the ultimate Pokémaster, you might wanna consider heading down to LA where you can find the most diverse group of rarest Pokémon, including Dratini, Electabuzz, Hitmonlee, Chansey, Lapras, Snorlax, Porygon, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl.

A quick trip to the City of Angels won't be enough, though, to get that Pokédex filled up. If you want to add the likes of Magnemite and Hitmonchan to your collection, you will have to venture out to Chicago or do a cross-country trip from Seattle to Orlando.

In case you are interested in a specific type of rare Pokémon, Wanderu also looked at the number of sightings in each city based on category, including Epic, Mythical and Special Pokeémon:

There you have it, folks. These are the places you head over to if you are serious about upping your Pokémon game. Whether you live in or are traveling to one of these cities, you're likely to find the rare Pokémon of your dreams hiding out near a park, monument, or major PokéStop.
