10 Reasons Why Kostas Martakis Is A Greek God

No one in America knows who he is, but they should because he's beautiful and he sings like an angel.

Sure, they gave us Greek yogurt, John Stamos, democracy, and some pretty cool architecture. But still, wouldn't you rather look at a picture of Kostas instead of schlep up the Acropolis? I went up there once, it was hard work! Trust me, and just look at the picture.

2. He competed on something similar to American Idol in Greece.

Isn't he adorable? He competed in Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 on Greece's behalf. Good choice, Greece! My homeland knows talent when they see it! I just hope that the judges were nicer to him than Simon, Paula, and Randy. Wait, Simon was the only mean one, right? Whatever. I hope whoever judged him said only nice things because he sounds like an angel.

3. Look at his eyes!

In case you haven't noticed, he has really pretty eyes. Have you ever seen prettier eyes? No, no you haven't! How, how do I know? Because he's one of a kind. His eyes are like the Aegean Sea, so beautiful and full of life. Ok, that's how I imagine the Aegean to be. When I was in Greece and we went on a boat cruise I feel asleep. Boats make me sleepy, what can I say?

4. One word: hair.

LOOK AT HIS HAIR! ITS PERFECTLY STYLED. Caps were absolutely necessary. His hair is perfectly coiffed. I would be afraid to bump into him and mess up his perfect hair. This would be an excellent time to bring up my favorite scene from the movie adaptation of Hairspray. Its when Tracy Turnblad is leaving detention and Link Larkin bumps into her and then apologizes saying, "Sorry little darlin', hope I didn't dent your 'do."

5. His jawline *sigh*.

Merriam Webster Online Dictionary defines a jawline as, "the line of the face formed by the lower jaw; the bottom edge of a person's face" from http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/jawline. I define a jawline as, "one of God's gifts to women everywhere." I'm sure you're starting to notice Kostas is a hot guy, and part of that is due to his jawline. It just shapes his face so perfectly.

6. He looks damn good in suit.

I know in our society that Justin Timberlake is the suit and tie guy, but c'mon! JT should be sitting and taking notes because Kostas' outfit is on point. Whoever dresses him should get a hug, an award, and a cookie.

7. He models, not surprisingly.

Hello! Look at his chest! You could do your laundry on it! Where are my Tide Pods when I need them most? I was perusing fan website when I saw the following description of him: "his sapphire eyes, sparkling like the Mediterranean Sea under the blazing sun, his juicy red lips, as soft and sweet as summer cherries, his wavy charcoal hair, and the body of an ancient Greek athlete." Pretty spot on, if you ask me! Side note: I love this picture of him so much that I made his my computer desktop. Its great for staring at and getting nothing done. I love it!

This song is spectacular. Its all in Greek, but it doesn't matter if you understand it or not. Basically, he's telling you how much he loves you and how no one is going to stop him for doing so because he thinks you're the best. I think that's pretty great. Think of the guy who does the rapping this song, Midenistis, as a Greek version of Pitbull, but shorter. The music video for this song is awesome! Go look it up! One of my favorite parts in when Kostas is wearing a pair of teal pants. They are the perfect shade to compliment is eyes and his generally sexy self. Benjamin Moore would be so proud.

He hosts a game show called Super Buzz. I'm trying to think of an American equivalent. Its kinda similar to Jeopardy, but with less options for choosing how you want to win your money. He's also hosted Greece's Dancing With The Stars in the past. He's the one who talks to the dancers right after they finish, but before they get the judges' scores. Thank God numbers were one of the things I learned in Greek or those YouTube clips would have been hell.

10. He's wise.
