Most Missed Characters On Supernatural

Suggested by the #SPNFamily on twitter here is a list, in no particular order, of the most missed characters on Supernatural.

Bobby Singer

Sam and Dean's father figure Bobby Singer, played by Jim Beaver, is one of the most missed characters. Can you imagine how much he would love the MOL bunker! But 'Balls!' he was fatally shot in the noggin by a Leviathan. He has returned as a ghost attached to a hip-flask and to give a comatose Sam some advice, but alas there has been no sign of him and his surly demeanor since.

Kevin Tran

Kevin 'Freaking Solo' Tran, a prophet of the lord played by the fandom adored Osric Chau. Kevin's death was so shocking and painful for the fans and for Osric. He was smited by the Angel Gadreel while wearing a Sammy meat suit. There was some hope that Kevin may return after his ghost haunted the Winchesters for a short time, however he hasn't been seen since he was reunited with his mother, the formidable Mrs Tran.

Benny Lafitte

Benny Lafitte, the cuddly Vampire from Purgatory, played by the mischievous Ty Olsson. Benny first escaped purgatory by helping Dean, he then returned and stayed in Purgatory after helping Sam. Perhaps a future trip to purgatory may bring back everyones favorite vampire!

Meg Masters

The boys made her meat suit all dewy! It's Meg, played by both Rachel Miner and the original Meg meat suit Nicki Aycox. Sadly Meg was killed by Crowley when she was protecting Sam, Dean and her unicorn Castiel.

Gabriel

Gabriel aka the Trickster, played by Richard Speight Jr, had some of the best lines! for instance: 'Lucifer you're my brother and I love you, but you are a great big bag of dicks!' He was shockingly killed by his brother Lucifer after that comment. But being Supernatural he returned for a surprise episode appearance in S09, fans were left unsure if this meant he was truly Dead or just masterfully hiding....again.

Lucifer

Lucifer, played by the suave Mark Pellegrino, was locked in a cage in hell with his brother Michael. He returned to torment Sam in crazy guy visions, but disappeared when Castiel took away Sam's debilitating memories of hell.

Ellen and Jo Harvelle

Ellen and Jo, a feisty mother and daughter duo played by Samantha Ferris and Alona Tal, gave up their own lives to help Sam and Dean try to defeat Lucifer. Ellen has since made an appearance as Bobby's better half when Balthazar un-sank the Titanic and altered the future. Jo appeared as a ghost tasked with ending Dean following a trial. They are sadly missed as part of Dean and Sam's family now.

Ash

Super smart Ash, played by Chad Lindberg, and his fabulous 'business up front party at the back' hair departed the show after being blown up in the Roadhouse pub. He was later seen managing to evade the angels and travel around heaven, but has not been back since.

Balthazar

Sassy Angel Balthazar, play by Sebastian Roché, was smited by Castiel after he helped the Winchesters by giving up Crowleys whereabouts.

Alpha Vampire

Badass Alpha Vamp, played by the man with the best laugh ever Rick Worthy, was almost killed by one of the leviathans in Season 7 before Sam and Dean saved him. His parting words to Dean and Sam were 'See you next season' but he has sadly not been back yet.

Abaddon

Long live the Queen! Except it wasn't nearly long enough as the Queen of hell Abaddon, played by the stunning Alaina Huffman, was ended with the first blade by Dean Winchester.

Henry Winchester

Henry 'Sexy Grandpa' Winchester, played by Gil McKinney, sacrificed his life to save Dean and Sam. He has been back in one episode in flashbacks, but has not returned since.

Garth Fitzgerald IV

Garth and Mr Fizzles are not technically dead (well Mr Fizzles was never technically alive) but the last we saw of Garth he was a werewolf with his werewolf wife, so who knows if and when he'll be back and if it would be for a good reason!

Chuck Shurley

Chuck Shurley aka The Prophet, aka God, aka toilet paper hoarder! played by the cutest grown man ever Rob Benedict, was not killed he just disappeared. Could we be seeing the return of this housecoat wearing writer soon?

Ruby

Dark Ruby played by Genevieve Padalecki (hey I recognize that surname!) and Blonde Ruby played by Katie Cassidy had everyone fooled right until the end when she managed to release Lucifer from his cage and was stabbed with the demon blade by Dean Winchester.

Aaron Bass

Where is Aaron Bass? Well he is not on Supernatural at the moment and that is a travesty for the fans that would love to see Adam Rose come back to play Aaron and bring his Golem along for the ride.

John Winchester

Papa John Winchester played by Jeffery Dean Morgan and Matt Cohen (young John Winchester), gave up his life for his sons. He was taken to hell but clawed his way back out when the door to hell was briefly opened. However he has not been seen since.

Mary Winchester

Mama Mary Winchester, played by both Samantha Smith and Amy Gumenick (Young Mary) is the reason that the boys are hunters. She died a gruesome death, by being burned alive on the ceiling of her sons nursery.

Gavin MacLeod

Gavin MacLeod aka the Prince of Hell, played by Adam Groves and Theo Devaney, Is in the wrong century but as far as we know he is still alive, kicking and most likely adorably confused.

Alastair

Alastair the demon, played by Mark Rolston, Andrew Wheeler and by the amazing Christopher Heyerdahl was finally finished off by a blood high powerful Sam Winchester.

Mrs Tran

Oh you best not mess with Kevin or Mama Tran will get you! We all thought Mama Tran, played by Lauren Tom, was long gone but she proved that she can't be put down that easily. Now we just need her and Kevin back again.

Becky Rosen

Becky Rosen aka samlicker81, played by Emily Perkins was Supernatural fan No.1, she hasn't been seen since she got a witch to make Sam Winchester think he was in love with her and marry her.

Samandiriel

Samandiriel aka Alfie, played by Tyler Johnston, survived being horrifically tortured by Crowley only to be killed by a Naomi controlled Castiel.

Death

"Oh Death" Fast food loving Death played by Julian Richings has been around, but we could do with plenty more of his sassy comebacks and overall badassness.

Sheriff Jody Mills

Jody Mills, played by Kim Rhodes, was almost killed by Crowely and a few others, but has as yet managed to evade death, which is great as we love our brave smart mouth Sheriff.

Sheriff Donna Hanscum

Sheriff Donna played by Brianna Buckmaster, is a hilarious addition to Supernatural, especially when teamed up with Sheriff Jody.

Missouri Moseley

Missouri Moseley, played by Loretta Devine, is a psychic in Kansas who hasn't been seen since Season 1.

Jesse Turner

The extremely powerful child Jesse, played by Gattlin Griffith, was able to alter time and reality with just a thought. It is thought that he is still alive but transported himself to Australia following his run in with the Winchesters and Castiel. Just think what this offspring of a human and a demon could do now that he's grown up!
