    Body Confidence In The UK: 8 Things You Didn't Know

    British fashion retailer New Look conducted a survey on 2000 men and 2000 women in the UK and asked them questions about Body Confidence (both groups aged between 18-60). Here's 8 things about Body Confidence that you may not know about (because we certainly didn’t!):

    23.5% women are actually most uncomfortable about their body when out with friends as opposed to being out on a date or being intimate with a partner

    Men appear to consistently get more bodily confident with age, aside from the 25-34 year old age group, who were found to have the least confidence in their bodies

    11.4% women agree that images of celebs in magazines or online accurately reflect what they look like in reality

    30% of men tend to feel unconfident about their body, compared with 35% for ladies

    Google returns 82,000 results for "women's body confidence" [including speech marks], but only 15,000 for "men's body confidence"

    31% think Kelly Brook has the ideal body with catwalk models such as Kate Moss (4.9%) and Cara Delevingne (3.4%) dwindling behind

    The most common cause for men's body insecurities is excess fat, with 26% saying theirs makes them feel insecure

    45% of women aged 55+ have more body confidence than that of women in their 30s/early 40s
