Soon enough, there were fan pages of the event making the rounds on Facebook that thousands fell for.
Another fan-made event page that has been making the rounds is this fantastic example of internet trollage — a fan page for "British Antakshari band", Coldplay.
While some of the fans have fallen for the trap...
Some seem to really dig the vibe and are playing along.
And they're quite dedicated to the prank.
There's even an "official lineup" listed on the page featuring Anu Malik, Altaf Raja and Sonam Kapoor.
"The point of this page was to show that people on the internet are so dumb that they believe anything without any source,” Hitesh K. Pardeshi, the admin for the event page told BuzzFeed.
