It’s been a long year since Lauren Iungerich’s refreshing teen comedy, Awkward. debuted on MTV. We were introduced to a sweet, if somewhat sophomoric, love triangle in that of Jake-Jenna-Matty (come on, Matty was too image obsessed to hold Jenna’s hand in public; how could she pick him!?), an amazing catchphrase from an outside-the-box mean girl, and a mystery with a heartbreaking end. When the first season finale rolled around, things heated up when we learned who wrote the carefrontation letter and who Jenna picked as her boyfriend.
