    What The Critics Said About 'The Expendables 3'

    it seems for a third and final film in the series, 16 action men and a female MMA fighter is just too crowded. Despite getting a lower rating, the $90m action movie only made $16.2m in the first weekend at the US box offices alone making it Sylvester Stallone's 4th worst opening for a movie (according to Bloomberg Businessweek), ahead of 2006's 'Rocky Balboa', 1989's 'Tango & Cash' and 2013's 'Grudge Match'.

    On what critics think of it, they're unimpressed. At the time of posting, The Expendables 3 has a score of 34% on Rotten Tomatoes (compared to 41% for the first film and 65% for the second film) and score of 35 on Metacritic (compared to 45 for the first film and 51 for the second), also, because Luna (played by UFC fighter Ronda Rousey) being the only named female character, the film failed the Bechdel Test too.
