10 Things You Must Do In London Before You Go Home For Christmas

Let's face it, that London Bucket-list you wrote in August hasn't quite been completed, and it's almost Christmas. Here's 10 things you definitely need to do before you head home for the holidays.

1. Hogwarts in the Snow at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter

3. Skate around the City!

Ice Skating is a winter favourite and with many London hot spots offering sight-seeing opportunities for those parts of London you haven't yet had the opportunity to visit, including Hampton Court Palace and The Natural History Museum opening temporary ice rinks for the festive season, you'd be crazy not to get involved!

4. London's Christmas markets

Christmas markets are the perfect break from your studies and a great atmosphere for the festive feeling to emerge. Whether you're shopping for unique gifts or wanting to indulge in a seasonal snack you'll find it all in London's numerous Christmas markets!

5. Harrods, Knightsbridge

If you fancy spending the last few pennies of your student loan/overdraft, Harrods is the place to go! Not only does the famous department store have the ability to empty your pockets, the Christmas Grotto is the perfect opportunity to ask Santa for a First in your degree! Here's the route.

You can't leave London for the holidays until you've seen some of the light displays in the popular tourist spots of Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and Covent Garden to name a few!

Splash out on a glass of bubbly and tickets to a West End show to finish your first term on a high! Elf the Musical at London's West End would be perfect for a night out with your flatmates before you go home for Christmas!

Whether you admit it or not, everybody loves a Christmas song! There are many opportunities to belt out a festive favourite in the iconic Royal Albert Hall or underneath a gigantic Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square. Nothing like a timeless carol to get you in the Christmas spirit!

9. Winter Wonderland at Digby Square

Shetland Ponies dressed in Christmas outfits. Christmas trees, live acts, naked calendars, festive beers and hot drinks. Let's face it, a selfie with the Christmas ponies wouldn't go amiss. On again tonight from 4:00pm at Digby Square. 🐴❤️‍🐴
