Whether you feel like you’re sexually inexperienced or you’ve noticed a significant decline from a previous, steamy sex life, your answers indicate you may not be having as much sex as you’d like. 
 
From hormonal influences on desire to a lack of an appropriate partner, there are many reasons as to why sexual activity may be on the decline. Sex may be a physical act, driven in large part by physical urges, but it’s also an emotional demonstration of our feelings. Perhaps you’re feeling stressed and overworked, and it’s taking its toll in the bedroom. Is it possible that the lack of sexual activity is affected by what’s between your ears? You may want to ask your doctor if you’re noticing any significant changes, just to be safe. 
 
The good news, of course, is that sexual intimacy is something that can be explored, understood, and improved.

Like a Virgin

So, you’re noticing a slight decline. It’s not like you’re in a year-long dry spell or anything but you see the possibility looming on the horizon. The danger with this is that if you go without it for a long time, you miss it less and less. Maybe it’s like potato chips: the more you have, the more you want, but if you refuse that first chip, you will likely be okay with no having any.
 
The important first step, then, is to figure out what’s at the root of the issue. Why isn’t your sex life as satisfying, adventurous, and pleasing as it once might have been?
So take a minute to yourself and seriously think about it.

There are absolutely short-and long-term physical and emotional health improvements that come from having a healthy sex life including a decreased risk of depression and anger, anxiety, and stress. Some studies have found that long-term sexually intimate relationships are linked with longer life expectancy. 
 
So go ahead and get on with your bad self.
