"My dog ate my homework" may be one of the oldest excuses in the book but poor Jason Tovey of the Cardiff Blues has had to pull out of a Heineken Cup game in Toulon after his adorable Labrador, Koda, tucked in to his passport.
A spokesman for the rugby club said Tovey was in "the doghouse."
