Jay Z Is Now Going By JAY-Z, So Take Notice

A new year, a new way to spell your name.

This is Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, multihyphenate superstar with her fellow multihyphenate superstar husband, Shawn Carter, aka Jay Z.

Or should I say JAY-Z. Because he's changed the spelling of his name...again.

According to Pitchfork. Oh, and in case you want to get a lil' more confused, Jay is going by JAY:Z for his new album, 4:44. Punctuation for the win!

You see, when Jay first started out, he went by Jay-Z.

But in 2013, he decided to drop the hyphen and become Jay Z.

Now, in the year of our Beyoncé 2017, Jay is apparently going by JAY-Z.
