It's prom season, and you know what that means: lots and lots of promposals.
Well, anyone trying to achieve the cutest promposal of 2020 can just go home, because this Up-themed promposal on TikTok just blew them all out of the water.
In the adorable video (which I have watched no less that 9,238,952,763 times), Avery Finn — a senior from Terre Haute, Indiana — surprises his best friend, Georgia Carlson, with balloons, dressed exactly like the character Russell from the movie.
He then perfectly recites Russell's Wilderness Explorers speech, but makes a slight change when he says he's missing his "going to prom badge."
He pops the question...
...and Georgia says yes!!!
Georgia told BuzzFeed she decided to share the video because she posts "just about everything on TikTok" and that, although she knew Avery was planning on asking her to prom, the promposal itself was a total surprise.
In terms of the planning, Avery told BuzzFeed he was inspired by a few promposals he'd seen on Pinterest, but wanted to "go all out and make it a performance." He made his own costume using a polo from Goodwill and his mom's old Girl Scout sash.
He also said the hardest part about the whole ordeal was keeping it a secret from Georgia.
Well, clearly it all worked out because these two explorers are headed to prom! Have so much fun on your big night, Georgia and Avery. And remember...
