Coregasm! because who doesn't want to get off in the middle of yoga class?

It's called Exercise Induced Orgasm and it is a VERY good thing.

    Finally! (just kidding).

In a new study done by the Kinsey Institute, data suggests orgasm is possible through exercise and happens regularly. This furthers my belief that not only is exercise a good stimulant for your sex life, but (yes!) you can have better orgasms if you exercise pelvic floor muscles regularly.

Let's think about the scientific logistics and get our minds off of the good stuff: exercise increases testosterone production which increases sex drive. In addition, when you engage in activities that contract pelvic floor muscles, you directly send blood flow to the area.

The result? Increased sex drive + blood flow to the groin= "coregasm"

"For me as a scientist, that's a stripped down version of orgasm, without sex or a partner," said co-author Debby Herbenick, co-director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion and sexual health educator at the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.

The study, based on the responses of 370 women between 18 to 63, said abdominal exercises triggered what researchers called EIO (Exercise Induced Orgasm) among 51.4 percent of them. Others reported this experience while weightlifting (26.5 percent), doing yoga (20 percent), bicycling (15.8 percent), running (13.2 percent) and walking/hiking (9.6 percent).

Unless you do yoga like me (see picture!)

If you want to get into the nitty gritty details, here are a few exercises that will increase that, uh, big O moment. Any inversion poses in Yoga will do, but these are the two that engage the pelvic floor muscles the most efficiently. To engage these muscles, try first laying on the floor on your back, relaxing and then squeezing the top of the pelvic bones together, across your stomach. It's the same muscles you use to stop the flow of urine. Yah, I know. Gross. But still, these muscles will protect you WAY down the line, so best get on this.
