This Inspirational Tea Seller Has Written 24 Novels And Is Now Selling Them On Amazon

Talk about rising against the odds. H/t BBC.

Laxman Rao is one of the most well-known tea sellers in Delhi. Apart from from making a mean cup of chai, he also happens to be a prolific author.

You read that right – this remarkable man has published 24 novels, while maintaining his tea stall at the same time.

Rao, who initially moved to Delhi with the dream of being a writer, has now sold tea for 20 years. After being rejected by a publisher, he decided to start publishing books himself.

Rao's novel Narmada has been translated to English, while his most popular novel, Ramdas has sold over 4,000 copies.

Rao claims he doesn't know much about the internet, but he is glad that his sons started marketing his work online a few months ago.

Speaking to BBC, he said "Authors pull different stunts to market their books, make movies and TV serials out of them. I am a simple man. I get all my mail at this footpath address."

Talk about rising against the odds. Keep doing what you do, Laxman.
