With minimalist and maximalist options for nail polish and nail art, there's something for everyone.
Remember when ombré nails were trending a while back, and each nail went from dark at the bottom to light at the top, or from one colour to the other? The skittle manicure trend is an extension of the same concept except, here, each nail is painted a different colour. The skittle mani trend works best when the different colours used are from the same colour family, so the look is pleasant and not too jarring to look at. I also see a lot of people painting the ring finger and thumb nails the same colour.

You've probably seen this on celebrities and Instagram baddies. Though this trend is here to stay, people either hate it or love it.
Maximalist nails come in many varieties. They're usually super long and in a coffin or stiletto shape, and may be in pale or bold shades, plain or with lots of blingy nail accessories. They're expensive and high maintenance. Most salons in India don't even offer this, and the ones that do typically charge well upwards of ₹3,000.
I've only got them once for a very special occasion and while I loved how they looked, they were hard to do normal tasks with and hurt like crazy when one broke. Despite this, I recommend giving this trend a try – maybe it's a keeper for you!
