Lake County, California, has one of the smallest populations of any county in the state. And it has, by three times, the highest suicide rate in the state. When photographer Sharon Dawson discovered this, she decided to shed some light on the faces of depression in hopes of reaching, and giving hope, to the faces who are still in the darkness of their pain.
