The news cycle has been super heavy recently, so we decided to do a special shoutout episode where we shared people, organisations, and businesses who have been giving us joy over the last couple of months. Here's who we discussed:
1.British rapper Little Simz, who just released "Introvert," the first single from her upcoming album.
2.Nathan Miller, the filmmaker behind Five From Thirty, an amazing short film that follows a 25-year-old who doesn't feel he's accomplished enough for his age.
3.The hair braiding extraordinaire that is Michelle from I Dunno TBH Pod.
4.Althea, the woman behind Metemgee – the website dedicated to recipes inspired by Guyanese and Caribbean tradition.
5.The North London community group Elthorne Pride, who gave over 200 new coats and stationery supplies to children going back to school.
6.Black Hotties at Hogwarts, who run a really fun Clubhouse group where fans can discuss all things Harry Potter, including sorting other fictional characters into their Hogwarts house, and more.
7.Wunmi Durosinmi-Etti's Angry Black Kitchen, who have just released their first line of cooking sauces and seasonings.
Tune in to hear it all! Oh, and don't forget to check out our bonus mini-episode where we break down our personal highlights and lowlights of this years' Oscars!
