This Ridiculous Dating Show Where People Undress Each Other Makes No Sense

    Undressed on TLC UK consists of people undressing each other while answering personal questions. Here's why it doesn't work.

    So there's a new "dating" show in the UK right now where people are told to do this when they first meet.

    TLC

    It was originally a show in Italy. And now it is here yay thanks Italy.

    Why? "Matched for their compatibility, they'll undergo a unique dating experiment in a quest to find love."

    Sure, you could undress each other. But like, why not try a restaurant first?

    On Undressed, people undress each other in an empty studio next to a large double bed like this.

    They then lie on the bed in just their underwear.

    And are made to talk about "feelings" in front of the World's Most Threatening PowerPoint Presentation.

    WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? This seems like a 🔥 date.

    The odd thing about this show is it doesn't work. Take Sam. He likes the person he is matched with.

    But having them undress each other makes it more awkward, not less. They undress each other in such a formal way it's like they're dismantling a wardrobe.

    We're British. We're awkward in general when we meet people, even if we really like them. So we act like this is a business meeting and are like: "I will now take off your shirt."

    This just doesn't work.

    They then have a great conversation about heartbreak.

    Oh, and it gets worse.

    The PowerPoint That Should Be in Prison asks them if they want to make out on camera. Some people proceed to make out on TV. And some don't.

    They then choose whether they want to see each other again using a screen near the bed. And then it shows them both what the other has said anyway.

    If it's a NO with a YES, they go their separate ways. If it's both YES, then the lights go purple and they go on a second date.

    PROBABLY IN A RESTAURANT OR SOMETHING.

    Making the entire show and the shame of being naked completely irrelevant.

    Still, it's not as weird as the segment where some couples have to do yoga.
