The name’s Bond, but who’ll be Bond?

The trending top five actors most likely to play the next 007

With Daniel Craig saying that 'Spectre', released October 26th, will most likely be his last Bond movie, the world must (of course) speculate as to who will be the next actor with a license to kill.

    Tom Hardy

With 2/1 odds on the gambling site William Hill, this Mad Max: Fury Road star is the highest contender to become the MI6 agent. Doubters who think he is too gruff, need only to look to his next film, Legend where he plays a set of slick gangster twins.

There is no denying he already has that sexy-thoughtful Bond stare perfected.

    Idris Elba

A favourite the last time speculations were making their rounds, Elba is still a strong contender. Whilst he himself thinks that the opportunity has passed, Pierce Bronson (who played the fifth 'Bond') says that Elba has strong potential.

And how could he not?! Check out that suave attitude, and that look, just that LOOK. Thats a man that can go from sipping a martini to shooting a Walther PPK in no time.

    David Beckham

Since his wish to develop a career on the silver screen, fans are begging Beckam to put a double-0 in front of his old shirt number 7.

You got to admit, Beckham's subtle, good-sport attitude and dignified demeanour cannot be ignored as being Bond-esque.

    Damian Lewis

In the 2013 Skyfall, Bond returns to his childhood home in Scotland, perfectly paving the way for a cunning and (wait for it) red headed agent!

Lewis' elite upbringing gives him the class, his personality gives him the 'cool', and those piercing eyes and wry smile give us that intense look Ian Flemming wrote about.

    Henry Cavill

Having previously auditioned to play Bond but being dismissed because of his youth, time and experience have catapulted Cavill into better prospects this time around. His proven ability to play the elegant hero in Superman: Man of Steel and the recent release of his spy movie 'The Man From Uncle' will be huge positives in helping him get the roll.

Even his looks are' oh-so-bond. He perfectly matches the dark hair, blue eyes and cruel good looks described by Flemming.
