    A Few Reasons Why The "How I Met Your Mother" Finale Was Perfect On Paper

    Not everyone agreed on how the show ended, but on paper it was perfect.

    Robin couldn't have kids

    Everyone remembers the episode where Robin talked to her future kids, who we later found out never existed? It was also common knowledge that she wasn't great with babies so getting with Ted later on in life, after his kids were older and he had their stamp of approval (no matter how shockingly happy they were about it) set up their relationship perfectly.

    Lily and Marshall both win the bet

    In the episode "No Pressure," Lily admitted that she thought Robin and Ted wouldn't last. Marshall disagreed,prompting a bet between the two, saying that Robin and Ted would end up together. Both ended up being true in the finale.

    Barney finally found "the one"

    Everyone expected it to be Robin and in some ways, in my opinion, that would be the closest he ever got in a romantic way but in the end it was part of himself that he ended up loving the most in this world...his daughter. This was also something Robin could never give him.

    Everyone got to be with their soul mates ... even if it was only for a little while

    Mixed feeling about this most definitely but in the end Lily was with Marshall, Ted was with the Mother (Tracey) and Robin, Tracey with Max (ex-boyfriend who died) and Ted, and Barney had his baby girl. Everyone wins, sorta.

    Although the ending had most of us feeling like a monkey just stole our wallets (ALONG WITH OUR HEARTS) the show had to end and in no way would the ending make up for the fact that there will not be an episode on next Monday. I don't agree with everything but I see where the writers were coming from. It just didn't play out in person like they had hoped.
